Donor Eggs

Become an Egg Donor

Egg or oocyte donation is a process where a woman with healthy eggs, known as the egg donor, donates her eggs to help an infertile woman become pregnant. Women who are incapable of producing healthy eggs due to ovarian failure, chemotherapy, radiation treatment, genetic diseases, or advanced maternal age can become pregnant using donor eggs.
In the past, these women had no treatment options available and pregnancy was rare or impossible. Today, an oocyte donor can anonymously donate her eggs to a recipient. The donated eggs are fertilized with the husband's sperm to form embryos. These embryos are transferred to the recipient’s uterus once they are mature.

Women who wish to donate eggs must fulfill several criteria, including:

  • Must be between the ages of 21 and 30
  • In a monogamous relationship
  • Non-smoker
  • No history of substance abuse
  • Normal body weight (BMI <30)
  • No significant history of chronic medical conditions or genetic diseases
  • Must participate in and pass a screening process, including a psychological examination
  • Have regular/cyclic menstrual cycles when not taking hormonal birth control (birth control pills, Depo-Provera, etc.). At least six months must have passed since last Depot Provera injection.

We are most interested in oocyte donors who are motivated by the sincere desire to help infertile women become pregnant. The gift of life is something that no one can assess in terms of material measures.
