Dr. Jennifer Shannon

Reproductive Endocrinology & Fertility Specialist

Dr. Shannon graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biochemistry and received her Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Minnesota Medical School. After successfully completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Dr. Shannon worked as an OB/Gyn in Washington State for the next six years.

During this time, Dr. Shannon worked tirelessly to improve the quality of healthcare her patients received. She served on her hospital’s Quality Committee, updated and developed multiple Labor and Delivery (L&D) standard operating procedures and ER checklists, along with implementing the OB COAP, an assessment program to improve both maternal and neonatal outcomes. Dr. Shannon also served on the March of Dimes Committee on “Maternal and Child Health”, who’s goals are to end the preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap.

Ultimately, Dr. Shannon returned to the UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, to complete her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. While in fellowship, she published on the topics of diminished ovarian reserve, pre-implantation genetic testing, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation. She received specific training in the treatment of diminished ovarian reserve and Mullerian anomalies.
